Wages are one of the essential elements in an employment relationship, bearing in mind that wages are always associated with a source of income for workers to achieve a decent standard of living for themselves and their families. The current minimum wage setting policy within the framework of local government still encounters many obstacles as a result of not realizing a single wage uniformity, there are also differences based on the level of ability, nature, and the type of work in each company whose conditions are different. The theory used is the theory of authority and the theory of decentralization. The research method used is normative juridical. The research specifications used are analytical descriptive. The results of research regarding the authority of the Provincial Government regarding the implementation of the 2022 minimum wage determination show that the authority of Provincial Government of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta has the authority to determine the 2022 minimum wage as stated in the legislation, even though the formula for calculating the 2022 minimum wage in the Regional Province Specifically for the capital city of Jakarta, it is not guided by Government Regulation Number 36 concerning Wages, but the governor's authority is attribution authority originating from statutory regulations. Therefore, there is a need for full constitutional and institutional strengthening to strengthen the authority of the Provincial Government in setting the minimum wage so that it can be properly accommodated for regional interests.
