The problem in this research is related to the implementation of accepting new students through the zoning route at SMAN 1 Cikande which is still facing various obstacles. These obstacles include a lack of outreach to the community, inadequate facilities, age limits that prevent prospective students who live near schools from being accepted, unclear acceptance radius, as well as unequal distribution between state schools and the calculation of the number of school-aged children in the area, especially in Cikande District. The aim of this research is to directly observe the implementation of student admissions through the zoning route at SMAN 1 Cikande. This research uses a Critical Systems Thinking approach by utilizing four indicators from George C. Edward III, namely communication, resources, disposition and organizational structure. It is hoped that the results of this research can become a reference for stakeholders to evaluate the extent to which student admission policies through the zoning system provide impacts and benefits for society. Apart from that, it is also hoped that these findings will become evaluation material to improve these policies in the future, for the sake of educational progress in Indonesia. The research results show that the implementation of the PPDB Zoning policy at SMAN 1 Cikande has not been optimal due to a lack of technical outreach to the community, an imbalance between school capacity and the number of registrants, as well as the community's limitations in mastering information technology
