iTangKab is an innovative service offered by the Tangerang Regency Library and Archives Service, which is a digital library application based on social media, providing easy access for users to search for and read books without being constrained by time or distance. The transformation of services carried out by the Tangerang Regency Library and Archives Service is part of an effort to enhance library services, ensuring libraries remain relevant in the digital age and continuing to meet the community's knowledge and information needs. However, to ensure the success of the iTangKab initiative, an innovation diffusion process is necessary so that the public can become aware of and understand the innovation. This study employs a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach, using Everett M. Rogers' (2003) diffusion of innovation theory, which includes four elements: innovation, communication channels, time, and social system. The findings reveal that the diffusion of innovation for the iTangKab application has been implemented but is not yet fully optimized, leading to suboptimal dissemination. This is since innovation diffusion is only being carried out through limited social media and mass media channels, as well as interpersonal channels through direct socialization that have not yet reached all segments of society. Many people still do not understand the iTangKab application, and several challenges have been identified, such as insufficient distribution through social media and mass media, low public awareness, and the lack of communicators to spread information about iTangKab. Therefore, the Tangerang Regency Library and Archives Service needs to focus on being more consistent and organized in socializing the innovation and adopting strategic approaches to engage the community, ensuring the goals of iTangKab are fully achieved
