Abstract

The rapid development of information technology in the era of globalization has significantly impacted various aspects of society, particularly in the use of social media and the internet. While easy access to information brings numerous benefits, it also presents serious challenges such as moral degradation, misuse of digital media, and low digital literacy among citizens, including students. This phenomenon poses a critical challenge for the field of education, especially Civic Education or Pancasila and Civic Education, which plays a strategic role in shaping character and national awareness in the digital era. This study employs a library research approach by analyzing various relevant literature sources to explore the role of Civic Education in fostering digitally literate, ethical, and Pancasila-based citizens. The findings suggest that Civic Education must actively integrate digital literacy, character education, and ethical media use into its learning process. By doing so, citizens can be well-prepared to face the dynamics of the digital age wisely and responsibly, while also preserving the national identity and cultural values rooted in Pancasila.
