Pemberdayaan Masyarakat terhadap Pengelolaan Sampah melalui Bank Sampah Digital di Kota Serang, Banten

Abstract

Waste is an environmental problem that is increasingly pressing with population growth and urbanization. Effective waste management is the key to creating a clean and healthy environment. This research aims to examine community empowerment through waste management at the Serang City Digital Waste Bank using descriptive qualitative research methods. Data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The research results show that the community empowerment program through waste management at the Serang City Digital Waste Bank has generally gone well. The community is increasingly active in waste management activities, from collecting, sorting, to utilizing waste into economically valuable products. The existence of the digital waste bank has also succeeded in increasing environmental awareness among the community and has had a positive impact on the local economy. Although there are several challenges such as limited supporting facilities and lack of outreach, overall this initiative has succeeded in creating positive changes in the community's mindset and actions towards waste management. This research suggests the need for further support from the government and related parties to strengthen and expand this program.
