The Department of Environment of Serang City is a governmental institution that plays a vital role in maintaining environmental sustainability within the Serang City, Banten Province, Indonesia area. The policy foundation for Public Information Disclosure is established through the Mayor's Decree No. 042/Kep.90-Huk/2022 regarding the appointment of the PPID (Information and Documentation Management Officer) to implement mechanisms according to the mayoral regulation and national standards. In implementing this program, several issues were identified, particularly in human resources and program socialization. The lack of competent human resources has resulted in the department’s website not being regularly updated, while poor socialization efforts have led to low public visitation to the site. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the implementation of the Public Information Disclosure Policy in the Department of Environment of Serang City. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method, using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, literature review, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted using Sugiyono’s analysis model. The results show that the policy program has not been running effectively due to insufficient qualified human resources and the lack of adequate socialization to the public. As a result, public engagement with the department’s website, which contains essential information, remains low.
